Hey! I'm Vics | Osteopath + Yoga Trainer

I'm a Rehab Osteopath and Yoga trainer. I've been training yoga teachers internationally for 10 years, and I love to help you feel confident in your teaching by offering evidence informed education that makes a difference.

I have had a huge interest in strength and rehab since starting my degree in 2017, along with developing my own rehab plan having hypermobility. I now offer rehab style strength movement and rehab sessions. I created this course to help you bridge the gap between strength/core and yoga.

In a world where everyone is excited about weights, strength and resisitance, why not combine this with our classical yoga sequencing to bridge that gap. Enroll today for £248.

If you’ve been curious about adding strength work to your classes, this course will guide you step-by-step through the key principles of strength training - and how to blend them seamlessly into yoga.

We’ll explore:

💪 The science and benefits of strength work for yoga practitioners

💪 How to use props creatively to build progressive load

💪 Practical ways to design classes that support balance, mobility, and resilience

💪 Real-life examples you can take straight into your teaching

MODULES:

Physiology of strength, and Levers and Fulcrums

We dive into the science behind strength so that our sequencing can reflect evidence based physiological knowledge. We'll learn how muscle adapts to load and demand, how it strengthens and what that will mean for you as a teacher. In this section you will also learn about levers and fulcrums which will help you decide the amount of weight you'll deem appropriate based on the asana (and levers).

Benefits of adding strength training to movement

Learn how to share the benefits of adding resistance to your classes so that you can create sequences designed for muscle and bone strength.

Further Modules:

☾ Progression vs Regression

☾ Working with Injury

☾ The Cardiovascular system with strength

☾ Class planning with resistance

☾ Class planning with dumbells
